I have always been passionate and inspired by different fabrics. I love the colours, the designs, the textures and the wide variety of items that can be crafted from it.
I let the fabric inspire me with what to do with it rather than searching for a particular fabric for a specific item. I know this sounds strange but I feel that the fabric then fits whatever it is I am creating.
You may see that I sometimes use the same fabric more than once, but I never make the same thing twice. So you can be assured that whatever you buy from My Calico Heart, especially if its a bag, you wont find someone else using the same one!
I continue to be inspired by everything around me, and the beautiful countryside around me and of course by everyday patterns, textures and a real passion for experimenting and trying new things.
I am constantly sourcing new fabrics and gaining great inspiration from them, so please keep checking back.
Please feel free to ask me any questions whether it is for more photographs or even a fabric sample. It is difficult to describe colours or textures and fabric items are so tactile so sometimes it is easier to judge colours etc from an actual sample of the fabric - I would love to do this so please do not hestitate to contact me.
